Today is Son of Man / Son of God day as I promised. Both of these are terms that relate to the Messiah
It is clear that GLORY is the focus of this verse. Not only is it repeated twice – “we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father . . .” but it is also hidden in the word for tabernacled. God showed His glory at the time of the Feast of Tabernacles.
Now for that verse, John 1:14
Now we come to a huge verse. One of my favourites in all of Scripture. Joh 1:14
I told you all Wednesday “tomorrow” we would look at #4 in John’s theme statement. (no I haven’t forgotten #3 – I am saving it. Giving you time to do some thinking and digging.) Through these Gems I hope to not only share gems but inspire you, encourage you, stir up your passion to know more of the Word of God. Son of God / Son of Man what do they mean? Go dig.
As I told people on Twitter and FB 2day i will not do John but smtg else. I have received input from people re struggles they r going thru so decided to bless u all with an especially significant gem i was planning  to do later.
Let’s return to John’s theme statement and investigate further. Remember this? John 20:31 – but these things are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and that by believing you may have life in his name.
However, to all who received him, to those believing in his name, he gave authority to become God's children, who were born, not merely in a physical sense, or from a fleshly impulse, or from man's desire, but of God. Joh 1:12-13
He came into the very world He created, but the world didn't recognize Him.  He came to His own people, and even they rejected Him.  [John 1:10-11] What a hugely sad statement.  Jesus, its creator, entered this world and dwelt in it and yet the creatures he created rejected him. Verse 11 repeats the thought but adds intensity to it.
